from an untitled series; a couple making love are interrupted by a visitor, the fusuma doors are opened a crack allowing a child to peep in, perhaps looking for comfort from a rainstorm which is visible in the background out of an open verandah, signed in white on the far left fusuma panel, Koryu sho, ca. 1770-71
