This print was commissioned by a Swiss gallery in a very small edition of only 20 impressions. The composition was inspired by Torii Kodondo's print Kesho (Make-up), which Binnie had recently acquired; and by the gallery owner's tattoo of a ho-o bird on his shoulder.
